About us

Two clinicians. One mission.

Three Therapy started as a kitchen-table conversation between a physiotherapist and an occupational therapist who happen to be married to each other — about how much easier therapy could be if it simply came to where people already are.

Why we started this

Therapy shouldn't add another thing to the to-do list.

Between us, we've spent years watching families juggle waitlists, waiting rooms, and appointments that don't fit around school pick-up. For a child with sensory processing differences, just getting through the car park can undo the good a session might have done — and for a lot of families, simply getting a young child to and from a clinic is a battle before the appointment has even started.

Three Therapy exists to remove that friction — bringing paediatric occupational therapy and NDIS physiotherapy directly into homes, schools and community settings across Brisbane, reaching families who'd otherwise be stuck waiting for services to come to them.

Where the name came from

Why "Three"?

Honestly, we didn't set out to build a name around a number. We were just talking through what this practice should be — and the number three kept turning up, from a few different directions at once.

Three people in the room

Every session really involves three perspectives — the therapist, the child, and the parent or carer watching on. Good therapy only works when all three are actually aligned, not just the clinical plan.

Three disciplines, eventually

We started with OT and physio, but speech pathology is the natural third piece — and something we're planning to bring in down the track. The name was never meant to describe just where we are on day one.

Three kids of our own

We didn't plan for this one either. Somewhere in the middle of naming a business, we realised the number had already been part of our own life for a while.

What we believe

The values behind how we work.

Neurodiversity-affirming

We work with how your child's brain actually works, not against it — building on strengths rather than chasing "normal."

Family and client-centred

Goals come from you, not a generic template — we build the plan around what actually matters in your daily life.

Rooted in community

We chose a mobile model deliberately — Brisbane families deserve services that come to them, wherever they are.

Meet the team

The two people who'll actually show up.

No rotating roster, no unfamiliar faces — every visit is with one of us.

Sam, Physiotherapist at Three Therapy
Physiotherapist

Sam

Sam's career has covered a lot of ground. He started out in sports physiotherapy, moved into aged care, and spent years working out of a medical centre covering everything from developmental physio and sporting injuries through to WorkCover, cardiac rehab and geriatric care — currently still running that broader caseload through Flexible Physio and Rehabilitation. Somewhere in the middle of all that, he married an OT and started a family of his own, and his interest in paediatrics grew alongside it. Three Therapy is where that interest finally gets its own space: Sam's focus here is paediatric physiotherapy — motor delay, coordination, torticollis, and movement confidence — working alongside Helen for kids who benefit from both disciplines, with plans to grow the physio side of Three Therapy further over time.

Helen

Helen started out in community OT, working across a broad caseload — and it didn't take long to realise kids were where her real passion was. She moved into private practice, where she spent years honing her skills specifically in paediatric work, before feeling like she had more to give and taking a role with the Department of Education, supporting kids' needs from inside the classroom itself. Three Therapy is the culmination of all of it — community grounding, private practice depth, and a genuine understanding of how school actually works for a child, brought together into one focus: autism and sensory processing. She works with children and families on sensory regulation, fine and gross motor development, and school readiness — coaching parents and carers along the way so strategies carry over into everyday life.
