Fees & pricing

Straightforward pricing, whichever way it's funded.

NDIS is our core funding pathway today, but it isn't the only way to see us. We also work with Medicare, private health insurance, and private (self-funded) families — so a change to any one system doesn't mean a change to whether we can see your child.

These figures are reviewed annually by the NDIA — we'll always let you know before any change to your service agreement.

How billing works

The practical details

Self-managed or plan-managed

We currently see NDIS self-managed and plan-managed participants. If you're self-managed, we invoice you directly and you claim reimbursement through the NDIS portal. If you're plan-managed, we invoice your plan manager directly and you're not out of pocket.

Read our full explainer: self-managed vs plan-managed, explained.

Travel

As a mobile practice, most of our work involves travelling to you. Travel time is billed separately from the session itself, at 50% of the standard hourly rate — this is a standard NDIS billing structure, not something we've added on top.

Cancellations

We ask for at least 48 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule without charge. Cancellations with less notice, or a missed appointment, incur the full session fee. Full detail is in your Service Agreement.

Reports & non-face-to-face work

Report writing, liaising with schools or other providers, and session preparation are itemised separately from the therapy session itself, in line with the NDIS Pricing Schedule's current structure — we'll always let you know in advance if a report is being prepared and what it involves.

These rates reflect the NDIS Pricing Schedule 2026–27, effective 1 July 2026, and are reviewed annually by the NDIA (typically from 1 July each year). For the official current schedule, see ndis.gov.au. This page is general pricing information, not a substitute for the specific terms in your individual service agreement.
Other funding options

Not NDIS-funded? There's usually still a way.

NDIS is where most of our families are funded from today, but it isn't the only option — and we think it's worth being upfront that we're set up to work with families outside the NDIS too.

Medicare — GP Chronic Condition Management Plan

If your child has a health condition expected to last 6 months or more, your GP may be able to prepare a GP Chronic Condition Management Plan (formerly known as an EPC/CDM plan) referring your child for up to 5 Medicare-rebated allied health sessions per calendar year. The Medicare rebate is a fixed amount per session (currently $63.40) — well below our full session rate, so a gap payment applies. The 5 sessions are shared across whichever allied health professionals your child sees, not 5 each.

Medicare — autism & complex neurodevelopmental pathway

A separate Medicare pathway (MBS items 135/137/139/289) supports children with autism or a similar complex neurodevelopmental disorder, once a paediatrician or psychiatrist has confirmed the diagnosis and prepared a treatment plan. This opens up to 20 lifetime allied health treatment sessions (shared across disciplines) — useful as a bridge before NDIS access is confirmed, or for families who aren't NDIS-eligible. Ask us if you think this might apply to your child.

Private health insurance

If your family has extras cover that includes occupational therapy or physiotherapy, you can claim a rebate on our standard session fee the same way you would for any allied health appointment — no special arrangement needed on our end.

Private (self-funded)

Happy to see your family on a straightforward private-pay basis, no referral or funding pathway required. Our private rate is the same as our NDIS-aligned rate ($194/hr) — one fair rate, regardless of how your sessions are funded.

Medicare and private health insurance information above is general — eligibility depends on your GP's or specialist's assessment and your individual insurance policy. Not sure which of these applies to your family? Just ask — we're glad to help you work it out rather than you needing to figure it out alone first.
